Savings through joint procurement
The attitude towards joint procurement in both the Government Programme and the European Commission is fairly positive. In addition to making procurement more affordable, centralised procurement makes the operations more professional and sustainable. It is also seen as superior to decentralised procurement in terms of the prevention of corruption.
Operations
Joint procurement was on an upward trajectory in 2024, which boosted the development of our operations. To achieve savings, we aimed to increase the use of our services and implemented several projects to develop cooperation with customers and contractual suppliers.
Finances
Our operations continued to grow in 2024. The use of joint procurement exceeded the limit of EUR 1.7 billion, which contributes to achieving savings in public administration. The Finances section of the Annual Report contains the report of Hansel’s Board of Directors.
Renewing procurement
The development of the digital service experience is one of our top priorities as we seek growth and encounters of a better quality. We also worked with our customers on many projects to make public procurement even more successful and efficient.
Sustainable procurement
Billions are spent on public procurement every year. The sustainability of procurement is extremely important, and we ensure it in a variety of ways. We have functional processes and practices in place to promote sustainability in joint procurement across different sectors and we are constantly developing new ones, such as a national audit manual and an ethical code of conduct for the procurement of services within Finland.
Hansel as an employer
We are an appreciative and inspiring work community. We are genuinely excited about our work, and the spark of enthusiasm is infectious. Motivated specialists are our strength. Respect is shown as support, attentiveness and equal treatment. A feeling of working together is important to us.
