Renewing procurement
The development of the digital service experience is one of our top priorities as we seek growth and encounters of a better quality. We also worked with our customers on many projects to make public procurement even more successful and efficient.
Digital services to assist customers developed
In 2024, the development of our digital services was guided by three key themes: the development of services that are easy to use; the provision of an excellent digital service experience; and the improvement of internal efficiency. We went ahead and did bold experiments, including practising the use of AI as an aid in our work.
Hansel’s procurement expertise valued by rescEU projects
rescEU is a strategic reserve of disaster response capabilities and stockpiles funded by the EU. Finland’s rescEU stockpiles are significant in size, with a combined value of EUR 305 million. Hansel’s expertise was valued in the procurement of products, and joint procurement was utilised.
Seamless long-term cooperation
For the past fifteen years, Hansel has supported the National Land Survey of Finland in tendering for equipment and services for aerial photography and laser scanning. Six different tendering procedures for basic spatial data services that are repeated every few years are realised together.
City of Seinäjoki procurement path: small steps forward
The City of Seinäjoki actively develops procurement. In 2022 and 2023, the current state of procurement and key performance indicators were investigated in cooperation with Hansel’s development unit. The analysis resulted in a clear-cut action plan and plenty of improvement proposals. The most recent cooperation is related to the Seinäjoen modernit hankinnat (Seinäjoki modern procurement processes) project.
