Training on working life and coping skills
Employee well-being and job satisfaction are a priority for Hansel, and in 2024, we invested in developing our employees’ working life and coping skills. Our aim was to ensure that the employees are well equipped to face the challenges of today’s working life and that they have the tools they need to maintain and improve their well-being.
Hansel’s growth targets, the increase in the number of employees and the new, and in some cases still unidentified challenges introduced by hybrid work, are something for which we want to be as well prepared as possible.
In 2024, we arranged training courses for all employees, focusing on key working life skills such as communication, teamwork and problem-solving. We also covered the psychosocial stress factors of specialist work and how to manage them.
There was a special course for supervisors: at the last meeting of the year the supervisors talked about their own well-being and organised a workshop on psychosocial stress factors at work and how to mitigate them.
- 12 April 2024: Psychosocial stress factors in specialist work and how to manage them (instructor Eerikki Mäki, Mehiläinen)
- 13 May 2024: Communication and interaction at work (instructor Pia Lappalainen, Aalto EE)
- 28 November 2024: Supervisors’ own well-being at work and psychosocial stress factors (instructor Eerikki Mäki, Mehiläinen)
- 4 December 2024: Building well-being at work and a sense of community (instructor Eerikki Mäki, Mehiläinen)
Working life skills and coping were key training themes in 2024, and naturally they will continue to be important themes also in the future, as the well-being of our employees is the foundation of everything we do. When the employees feel well and are happy, there is a good atmosphere at work, which builds psychological safety that is key to Hansel’s success.
A good atmosphere at work does not happen by itself: it requires constant effort and care by each and every employee. When psychological safety prevails, employees are able to express their thoughts and ideas without fear of negative consequences. This creates an innovative and trusting working environment where each of us can give their best and experience job satisfaction and feel their work is meaningful.
